How to Make Spinach and Mixed Berries Smoothie

What better way to make use of my new stick blender than to make a smoothie? I wanted to try something different and eat a variety of foods (not just the usual rice, sardines and noodles) since we’ve been on enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) for more than a month already. That’s when I thought of making my own smoothie. Frozen fruits and greens were purchased online and the milk, we just got from the nearby grocery store.

Here are the ingredients I used and where I bought them:

  • Harvestime Frozen 4 Berry Mix (1kg) ₱775.00 from crate2plate.com
  • Organic Spinach (500gms) ₱180.00 from crate2plate.com
  • Selecta Fortified Milk ₱69.50 from SM Supermarket

I used a Multifunctional Food Processor / Stick Blender ₱1,145 from Shopee

I topped off the final product with some fresh strawberry slices and it tasted good – surprisingly I finished drinking all of it!

My only issue with it is that when I take sips of the smoothie, I also get a lot of hard small seeds. I am not sure yet from which frozen fruit it came from but I will check next time I make it. I’ll post an update here once I find out.
