Blog: Childhood Immunization Schedule for 2017

Because Jaze’s 5-in-1 vaccine (DTaP/IPV/Hib) or pentavalent vaccine is scheduled this weekend, I browsed for more information on immunization schedule for infants in the Philippines hoping to find details about immunization in Barangay health centers. As a Filipino citizen, kasama sa benefits ang libreng bakuna sa baby. As you may or may not know, getting your baby vaccinated in pedia clinics would cost about Php 2-6k so medyo mabigat sa bulsa – baka nga mas mahal pa sa ilan. Well, if pwede naman makuha ng libre or mas mura, why not diba?

Anyway, I came across the Childhood Immunization Schedule for 2017 from the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination (PFV) wesbite. The chart below shows the recommended vaccinations. Try not to miss any scheduled shots but if you miss any, huwag magpanic! Your child can still take it. Just consult your doctor first.

I’m still trying to find information on regarding free/less expensive immunizations in Barangay Health Centers near our area (Vito Cruz). I’ve read somewhere na Wednesdays daw ang immunization day for health centers. How true?

Update:

Note:

Iba-iba po ang schedule ng libreng bakuna per barangay o health center. Some are only available once a day per week kaya mas maige kung rekta na pong magtanong sa kani-kanilang tanggapan. Guys, if you wanna share yung schedule sa health center na napagtanungan niyo o meron kayong maidadagdag na impormasyon dito, please advice or comment below. Maraming salamat po.
